09:34⇢Nepal's Interim Leadership Candidates
⌨Indian media continues to heavily cover the political crisis in Nepal, with discussions now focusing on potential interim leaders following the Gen Z protests. While former Chief Justice Sushila Karki was previously a frontrunner, former Nepal Electricity Authority chief Kulman Ghising has emerged as another candidate for the interim Prime Minister role (Dainik Bhaskar, India Today, Zee News). The death toll from the ongoing unrest has risen to 34, with over 1,000 treated in hospitals (The Hindu). The relationship between India and Nepal, particularly the open border, is also being discussed (Aaj Tak). Separately, an Indian company, HAL, received a GE F-404 engine for the Tejas aircraft from the US (ABP Live).
